Buffalo Zoo-teaser

After hanging around at Grammie’s house this morning, we decided it wasn’t going to warm up any and away we went to the zoo.

It was very busy, and very chilly, and very windy but we braved the large crowds (which was surprising on a day like today) and checked out the zoo. We took it slow since Grammie is still hobbling around. We didn’t see everything, or even half the zoo really but it was a good trip anyways.

Both girls spent a lot of time at the bone yard. Digging around in the gravel, looking for dinosaur bones.

The baby gorilla was out eating lunch and we got a few good glimpses in between the other people before moving on to find a bottle of water because the girls were about to blow away from turning to dust. (insert rolling eyes here!)

The highlight was the train ride. You wouldn’t guess that Zia had spent the last 30 minutes whining for her mi-mi. I think it’s about time to make that thing bedtime only again. We’ve been very lax with that rule and she can’t seem to function without it. Both girls very much enjoyed the train ride. The conductor even went around one extra time because the girls were enjoying themselves so much! “Chug-a-chug-a-choo, choo!”

They even got to ride it for free because a young lady had two tickets that were going to expire tomorrow that they weren’t going to use. It was well worth it!

Again, I have a ton more pictures to share, but wanted to get these up so Jimmy can see the girls and what they’ve been up to since we aren’t home with him.
