Remember this post? “Look at you, as fragile as a flower, Still a little sapling, just a sprout” (5 points if you know what song/movie this is from). We’ve had some amazing things happen in the back yard. With all that rain that fell from the sky and (almost) daily waterings and some new “food” we’ve got a little jungle growing back there.
Jimmy bought these little beauties for the girls when they ran an errand once. They’ve really filled out the pot nicely!
A few of the pots are duds, still little sprigs of who knows what and doesn’t appear to be giving us anything substantial.
This little nugget should turn into a nice zucchini or is it a cucumber? The labels got a lot mixed up so I have no idea what is what!
Who would have thought something so spectacular starts from a goiter. This beauty should turn into a pumpkin. It appears as if this is the only one and it’s dangling over four feet off the ground so we’ll have to be creative and coax it back into the pot somehow so it can grow into a prize winning jack-o-lantern!
There’s a ton of new growth in that pot so who knows what we’ll find come October!
This particular pot became a mish mash of aromatics!! I trimmed them down the other day and oh it smells so good! You can find cilantro, basil AND parsley in there. I look forward to making sauce with this sweet smelling awesomeness.
