We got a pretty late start this evening but it all worked out in the long run because it was raining/drizzling for the early part of the night.
I had a big bright idea to make my own face paint this year because frankly, I forgot to buy some. It really didn’t turn out that great. It was really pastey and clumpy. Sonyea said she didn’t like the way it felt on her skin.
So she washed it off and went with Jimmy’s plan. Tempera paint. It was still “off” but in the dark looked good and she got a lot of candy/compliments.
If we had had some purple paint in the house, Zia would have had her’s done as well.
We stopped at the local Grandparent’s houses for a few minutes before hitting the streets. We found some flat land and started knocking. It’s nothing like Kenmore Halloween around here. Way too many dark houses compared to those with lights. We were probably just in the wrong neighborhood but we did get a lot of candy and got some good walking around done.
Sonyea did great with her “Trick or Treats” and “thank yous.” Zia, she’s still pretty shy but managed a few.
Saw a lot of cool pumpkins out there too. I was too impatient to figure out the settings on my camera so 90% of the pumpkin photos went right in the delete bin. This was the last pumpkin we saw.

We really did miss Kenmore this year!! Next year, Halloween is on a Thursday and the following year, we’ll be in Kenmore for sure!!
