Evening walk

Saturday night, we decided to walk to the post office to drop something in the mail.

Something was fighting us the whole way.  First, trying to get out the door was difficult.  All walk out and lock the door.  Turn around, unlock door because I needed a jacket.  Walk out, lock the door, Sonyea decided she needed a jacket.  Walk out, lock the door and Zia decided she needed a jacket.  Urg, why didn’t I think like a Mom and just grab jackets for everyone since *I* was cold??

Start our way and as we are heading down the hill in the parking lot, Zia falls down and cuts both her knees.  Back into the house to find neosporin and bandaids.  Yea, should be easy right?  Nope, no idea where the bandaids have been left.  Poor baby!

Now we walk out, lock the door and head out of the parking lot.  We start up the road and Sonyea notices the stream is still flowing down the street.  She runs up to it and trips over her boots and does a header onto the asphalt.  Somehow, she manages to NOT scrap her face but ends up with a scrape on her knee.  Thankfully, she’s ok and we venture on our way.  Up the street, past the five houses and State Trooper building and we have reached our destination.

For some reason, Sonyea has ALWAYS loved to run up the ramp, check the door, run down the stairs and through the parking lot.  Just to do it all over again!  Zia of course has come to enjoy it as well.

The sun was in the perfect spot for pictures.  I’m horribly out of practice or my camera has seen better days.  Who knows but I can barely take a good picture anymore.  Doesn’t help that my crazy littles won’t stop for just a second for me to get a picture.  Let alone one that isn’t blurry or focused on the background instead of my beautiful subjects.  I still keep trying though.

Someday, I will get my DSLR!!
