Happy 3 Months Gilmour!

Baby boy, you are getting stronger and stronger every day! You are 92 days old!! 13 weeks has gone by so dang fast, I can’t believe it. You are awake more and more now. You are sleeping great at night, nursing like a professional and holding your head up high!

You attract a ton of attention every where we go. Today at Wegmans you were a huge hit. And because of you I didn’t have to wait in line in the restroom. You were smiling and cooing and it got me to the front of the line. Thankfully, you like the carrier and will eventually fall asleep in it. This allows me to leave the bulky carseat in the van and maneuver the store better. Just like the girls though, you hate the checkout lines. We get up there and if you are still sleeping, you wake right up because we stop moving.

I’ve been watching you in the carseat and lately, you are trying to sit upright. You can see it in these pictures. You are trying to lean forward. You are not always happy laying on your back anymore. Forget tummy time though. I do use the bumbo a lot to. You love to be held but have no trouble telling us when you want to be left alone. Usually the swing works great for this situation.

You are finally ok with other people. Only took me going back to work almost full time for you to realize that other people can take care of you and feed you. Most days you get a bottle of breast milk and a bottle of formula before I get home and we are ok with that. I am trying to increase my supply so my pumping output gets you more but since we nurse on demand while we are together, it’s difficult to get ahead.

“Are we done with these pictures yet??!”

You are still swaddled tight in your crib my room overnights and often times when you get up too early in the morning, we’ll cosleep the last hour or so because I am NOT a morning person. The last two times I actually got up with you, you went right back to sleep in your swing so I refuse to actually “get up” in the morning. Unless Daddy is home and I have to.

You no longer like to wear hats which makes me sad because overnight when the a/c is on, I hate how cold your ears get. I have found we both sleep better when it’s on the cold side up there. You sleep great in the swing most times but we are fighting to find a schedule we can all rely on.

In May, at your 2 month appt, you were 11#4oz. You are slowly gaining weight even though it’s not enough according to your pediatrician. We do have formula to use when I’m not here but for the most part, I’ve stopped giving it to you when I am here. I think there is enough for you but not enough when I’m away.

We love to hear your laughs and your coos. You have learned how to give “fist bumps” and you play the “hand stacking” game when you want to. The girls just adore you and still fight over you at 3 months old. Happy birthday little bubbers!
