I was just looking back at the archives on my website. One can certainly see where our busiest times of the year are. And if you didn’t already know this, I work retail. Yup, November, December and January are slow times for this site. I’m not going to apologize either. I’m done doing that. Life gets in the way sometimes and other times, well, one just does not feel like doing anything. The weather this January was so cold and cloudy and overall, I was tired. I worked my share of overtime during this past holiday season that I just needed time. I didn’t do anything. I didn’t do laundry, I didn’t do the dishes, I had high hopes to get this place cleaned up and ready for a new baby, but that just didn’t happen. Jimmy has been wonderful, he’s really stepped it up and done more than his share around here. We are working with the girls to get them more responsible for their messes and cleaning up after themselves and it’s really working. Myself? Not so much. At my age, at this stage of the pregnancy, there isn’t anything left. Getting to the toilet and off again is hard work. Putting on socks and shoes damn near requires a nap after. Baby G will be here in a few days and I am physically ready. Mentally? Oh hell no, I’d like to rest a few more weeks. I am anxious to find out the gender and finally reveal his or her name but I know it won’t be well received. I’ve tried it on a few people lately (one a friend and the other a stranger) and got the reaction I expected. “Oh, that’s… nice.” The polite way to say “I hate it, what are you thinking?!”
Anyways, what has happened since we last updated? Sonyea turned SIX, we met a brand new baby and went to a birthday party at the Discovery Center. Honestly, I think that’s it! Sad, I know. We’ve always been so busy and off having some sort of fun but this winter has kept us in. So, here’s a few pictures to update our life.
