31 days until Black Friday. You read that right, 31 days until Black Friday.
It should read 30 days until Thanksgiving, stuff yourself, take a nap and then go shopping at 9pm. Get in line earlier if you have to have that door buster!!
Really, before you know it, Thanksgiving won’t be a family holiday anymore. Remember when you forgot something and you had a hard time finding even a gas station open? Yea, those days are gone. Even the big grocery stores are open for most of the day.
Retail stores are no longer opening first thing Friday morning. They are opening earlier and earlier Thanksgiving night. You know why? Because people go. People go early and stand in line. So the Powers that Be see that and think, well we better open an hour earlier next year and beat our competitor so we get all the foot traffic and better sales.
So be prepared to lose me for awhile. I know I haven’t been the best at keeping up here but we are in season and I will be wearing red every day with a few days off thrown in for the next few months.
