Happy Forth of July!! Can you believe, it’s been four years since Jimmy and I celebrated our wedding? That perfect day at State Park when a certain little 17 month old Sonyea would let me put her down? Friends and family were there, no humidity, perfect sunshine and some drinks. We’ve had ups and downs since then but we are still together and still kickin’ and fighting like an “old married couple.”
As usual, Jimmy had to work. He slept all day while the girls and I along with Grammie and PopPop got into our swim suits and hit West Endicott Park. I didn’t even bring the camera because I knew I’d spend the whole time in the pool and didn’t want to risk anyone stealing it. So, you’ll have to take my word for it when I say we had a blast on the carousel and in the pool!
After dinner and a quick nap,
we hit Highland Park for the fireworks! The weather was SO humid, there was no air flow anywhere. The finale got lost in the smoke! Seriously, we missed much of it because we couldn’t see through the smoke that everything left behind. We had a great time and wouldn’t have gone anywhere else!

Why break tradition now? About halfway through the show, the girls got bored and we had to check to see if they even fell asleep! They do this every time we go someplace for fireworks. They love the anticipation and then get bored fast. We’ll continue to go though. *I* love FIREWORKS!! Why else would I have chosen the 4th of July to get married??!!
