Zia’s 3rd Birthday cake

After our trip to the Buffalo Zoo, we had Zia’s birthday dinner and cake. In true Buffalo girl fashion, she requested pizza and wings! And what better place to get them than Kenmore, New York. Oh YUM!

We all sang Happy Birthday to her and she was a little nervous with the candle but she finally got it on the 4th try. Then she was proud of herself! Very yummy cake too. Minus the “wreck” part of it.  Can you spot it?  And for the record, I didn’t do it!!

Nobody pointed it out either. I noticed it when I was going through all the photos on the computer. Good thing she can’t read yet. All that mattered was the Z I A to her.

Why is it sooooo hard to get a decent family picture??

Keith and Jacob spent the whole weekend with us. It was great seeing them again! My girls adore them! BOTH!

Speaking of adoring family…

They adore Miss Beth (or Biz Meth depending on how fast they are talking). I’m so happy they love her so much. One of the many reasons why I’m sad we live so far away.

What kind of weekend would it be without some sort of drinking game? See who can drink the longest/fastest?

PhotobucketPhotobucketI assure you, that is water in the cups of my girls!!

His cup? I have no idea what was in his cup!

Sunday brought rain and dreary weather so we put on comfortable clothes and braved Bounce Magic in Amherst. It wasn’t nearly as bad as I had expected it to be for a Sunday. Don’t get me wrong, it WAS busy. Unlike the Monday we went last October when the kids were in school. The kids had a blast. Jacob had a friend with him so we only saw him in passing.

There is no time limit here and you can get your bracelet tagged so you can leave and come back. We did. Had lunch with Beth and Jessie. The place was practically empty. It was awesome. We had time and quiet to talk and hang out. Beth brought coloring books and crayons for the girls so that really, REALLY helped. They were nicely contained and behaved for a great meal with friends. Sonyea decided that day she wants to be a hair cutter person.

Of course, she’s changed her mind about a dozen times since then. You’ve got a ton of time to figure it all out kid. Just play and be a kid for now!

A truly AWESOME trip to Buffalo for Zia’s 3rd birthday!!
