Letchworth Craft Fair

Columbus Day weekend finds all kinds of “crafty” people at Letchworth State Park in Mount Morris, NY. We love driving up there because it takes us right through Sonyea, NY. (gee, i wonder why?”)

The weather was awesome for the ride up there and even better while we were there. Nice and sunny for walking around with Grammie and PopPop.

The first thing we saw when we got there was “free” face painting. We jumped on that while Grammie and Zia got manicures.

Everyone was surprisingly patient while we waited our turn. At the last minute, Sonyea decided on a nice unicorn on her arm. Zia changed her mind from a butterfly on her face to a tiger face!

The whole purpose of our trip was to hang out with Grammie and PopPop. Get some fresh air in nature and some exercise while walking around. There was mostly fighting and whining because the girls couldn’t run amok touching things and playing with everything.

Life got a touch better for the girls when their whining was rewarded with fairy wings and wands.

I can’t tell you how many times I said “thank you” because I heard someone say how cute Zia was with her wings and tiger face with little ponies on top of her head. (It never gets old hearing people compliment your child, maybe one day I’ll hear how well behaved they are?)

They were told many times not to touch this mermaid, very expensive mermaid so we settled for a picture instead.

Sonyea was allowed to go down the slide a few times. A few times those wings almost made her fly.

This next photo is totally inappropriate but I have the mind of a 12 year old boy. We were waiting in a shady spot for Grammie and PopPop to catch up and I put my hand out to lean on the tree. I had to “cup” my hands to lean (all done without looking) and that’s when I “felt up the tree.” Yup, I giggled and took a photo.

Looking around Letchworth and the ride down there we kept talking about how much more pretty it is up there. This post was actually written 2 days after the fact and we’ve certainly caught up with the pretty factor. Tons of reds, yellows and golds around here now.
