Raining again

It’s Labor Day weekend. The last few days of summer! How did we lose it so fast? The sun is setting earlier and earlier now. It’s no longer bright outside at bedtime. What better way to ring out summer than by beating the heat and humidity by staying indoors and cleaning! While Jimmy cleaned up around here and I was working, the girls played and enjoyed the indoors where it wasn’t humid at all.

That’s when the rains came. And oh boy did it ever fall. It was raining huge drops and there’s no better way to enjoy those huge drops than by running around the backyard naked! That fun ended when the lightning got a little too close for comfort.

Shortly after it rained, we enjoyed some dinner and went outside to play in the “mud puddles!” As Sonyea calls them. There’s really no mud involved but still, it’s puddles and what better way to enjoy those puddles? Play mermaid of course!!

We’ve also been watching a tv show called H20:Just add water. I have really come to enjoy it and the girls are always begging to watch “the fins.” So not only are we loving Ariel and the Little Mermaid but we also have Cleo, Rikki and Emma to watch (for a few more episodes anyway).

This little mermaid has gotten quite good at singing that song and is mostly on key! Maybe she can be our Pop Star!

We are having some trouble with the Terrible Twos and Effing Fours in this house. Put them both together and it can be a wild pair. Dealing with them can be difficult and as a result of that tonight, they lost their outside time running and swimming. I was a little sad but hey, we can’t be walked all over all the time as parents. They are just very persuasive!

A little of that not listening going on here. Running away from me with that smile on her face when I’m telling her not to run towards the road, a car coming in fast like our neighbors do won’t see her running so close to the fence.
